Thanks for stopping by!
You could say I'm passionate about birth and women's birth experience but I guess I'll let you find that out for yourself.
It was my son Jordan's birth almost 25 years ago that that set me off on this somewhat Evangelical journey. (Jordan = No 1 son who changed my world for ever). Birth is so important. I'm ever privileged to welcome babies gently in the world. When a healthy mother is fully supported, nurtured, and not disturbed she releases some powerful hormones! It's a heartfelt joy to witness.
And, sometimes Mother's face challenges. Perhaps birth, or the Mother or the baby need assistance. Fully involved, fully informed, nurtured, supported, surrounded in kindness, that's how the Mother rises. When a baby is born, a Mother is born, a family is created. I'll stop there...
I trained in hypnobirthing in 2008 and myself and my buddy, Donna Burns introduced the first of its kind, hypnobirthing service into our local maternity unit. After becoming a Clinical Hypnotherapist, I was invited to become a faculty member and went onto to train midwives and birth workers. (Are you bored yet..?). Complementary therapies, yes I do them too, but I'm actually boring myself now.
If its of interest, I travelled recently to Iran to train midwives in physiological birth, you can check out my blog here or read some of the reviews.
I'm a lover of life and a life long learner (oh and a bit of a technology challenged so bear with me). I'm not sure I'll discover the meaning of life, but I've definitely found the meaning in mine.
Be well and be happy.
